"A People For His Name: A History of Jehovah's Witnesses and an Evaluation" by Antony Wills

Now available as an e-book for only $4.98! (also available in hard copy for $23.99.)

This book traces the history of the WTB&TS from the days of Charles Taze Russell to the mid-1960s. It is widely regarded as one of the most objective books on the subject, and is written especially for the knowledgeable JW who is familiar with JW terminology.

"Millions Now Living Will Never Die!" by J. F. Rutherford

A public talk titled "The World Has Ended; Millions Now Living May Never Die" was first delivered on February 24, 1918 in Los Angeles, California. Five weeks later, on March 31, 1918 the title was changed to indicate absolute certainty: "The World Has Ended; Millions Now Living Will Never Die." The public talk continued to be delivered under that same title until 1925. The material was published as this book in 1920. This book may be of interest to students of human psychology and students of religious movements, particularly millennialist apocalyptic, "prophetic" religious movements. It is now republished in a larger, easy-to-read format for purposes of research, scholarship, teaching, news reporting, commentary or criticism. With the exception of the rear cover, every page is a photographically enlarged duplicate of the original publication. Once hard to find, this reprinting makes this historic book available at a reasonable price.

"The Desolations of the Sanctuary" by Emil & Otto Sadlack

This is a reprint of the 1928/1930 critique of "Judge" J. F. Rutherford and the direction in which he had led the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society after the death of Pastor Russell. Many of these observations are still valid today.

"Demonism and the Watch Tower" by Roy D. Goodrich

Roy D. Goodrich and his wife Maud were devoted Bible Students and Jehovah's Witness who took issue with the tacit endorsement of "junk science" medical devices by the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society. According to the Goodrich's "Bible-based" consciences, such devices were only a form of high-tech demonic divination. His is an interesting and very revealing account of how the organization that calls itself "The TRUTH" really operates.

"A Bible for the Scientist" by W. E. van Amburgh

IN 1924 a lengthy article appeared in the December 31 issue of The Golden Age magazine titled “A Bible for the Scientist.” This article asserts that the Great Pyramid at Giza was "Bible number one," and presents proofs FROM THE PYRAMID for Watchtower expectations, speculations and predictions for the dates 1789, 1874, 1914, 1925 and 1926. The author of that article, W.E. Van Amburgh, was the Secretary-Treasurer of the WTB&TS for 43 years. In 1928 "Judge" J. F. Rutherford began dismantling the Great Pyramid doctrine with the publication of an article titled "The Altar in Egypt" that appeared in The Watch Tower magazine late that year. Both articles are presented in this reprint. Students of the evolution of dogma may find the material fascinating.

"The Way to Paradise" by W. E. van Amburgh

This is a high quality enlarged replica reprint of the rare 1924 book by W. E. Van Amburgh, who was the Secretary/Treasurer of The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society for 43 years. It is worth noting that in his time W. E. Van Amburgh was one of only five members of the Watch Tower Editorial Committee qualified, as the Watch Tower said, "to approve as Truth each and every article appearing in these columns.” He must have been very thoroughly familiar with all the Watch Tower’s teachings to hold such responsibility. Today many of the doctrines taught in "The Way to Paradise" are no longer taught by Jehovah's Witnesses. This edition includes the biographical supplement, "Who was W. E. Van Amburgh?"
